BIO

Toni Thai Sterrett is a director, writer, photographer, host and actor. She's an NYC Native and a Magna Cum Laude graduate from The City College of New York (Film & English double major/Theater minor). Toni co-produced and co-starred in the Gotham Award Nominated film, August The First. She's written, produced and directed short film, commercial and branded content for clients such as Pantene, Clinique, Nissan, KMart, etc. and has worked with talent such as Taraji P. Henson, Rob Lowe, Gladys Knight, Ilana Glazer, etc. and was chosen by Ava Duvernay as Vibe’s Next Female Filmmaker. She has a strong focus on drama, edgy comedy, fashion and beauty and believes her job as a creator is to make her audiences feel.

Toni created the edgy and hilarious web series, Potty Break that deals with the struggles, the circus and the traumas of being single in the New York City party scene. 

 

As a host, Toni co-founded The Audio Collective. A group of audio creators that the NY Times called "the new influencers". She wrote & produced Hamilton: A Burrspective. A reimagining of the Hamilton musical from the perspective of Aaron Burr.  She produced and hosted conversations for clients such as HBO, Showtime, Warner Media and Bumble.

Next up, Toni is her to direct her first feature film at the end of 2021 about a Black Female MMA fighter who discovers psychedelics to deal with trauma and PTSD.
